  • Numerical solution of systems of coupled linear ODEs with non-constant coefficients;

  • Krylov subspace methods, the Gauss quadrature, orthogonal polynomials, and the moment problem;

  • The minimal partial realization problem with application to operational modal analysis;

  • Functions of banded matrices, low-rank and sparse perturbations of matrix functions with application to complex network analysis;

  • Extrapolation methods for accelerating the convergence of sequences.
